Pure Raw Irish Honey

Our pure raw Wexford honey is sourced exclusively from hives located on our farm. With hints of clover, blackberry and gorse it is beautifully sweet yet light in flavour.

Our honey is cold filtered but otherwise is not processed in any way. This preserves the naturally occurring vitamins, enzymes, prebiotics and and antioxidants in our honey, maximising the health benefits of our honey.

As our honey has not been pasteurised crystallisation may occur. This is a sign of quality and can be reversed by applying some heat if desired

Soap, Handsalve, Lipbalm and Bath Salts

Our handmade products include candles, soaps, salves and lip balms. These are all handmade by Ciara in small batches using only natural ingredients and fragrances.

Organic ingredients are used where possible, along with beeswax and raw honey harvested from our own hives.

Our products and packaging are palm-oil, petroleum, and plastic free.

About Tykillen Farm

We are a family farm, with three generations of us currently living and working on the farm.

All our products and packaging are palm oil, petroleum and plastic free.

We work with nature as much as possible on our farm. This includes:

Planting a forest in 2006 (13 acres of Ash, Oak, Beech, Scots Pine and Sycamore); limited fertiliser use and recently planting multi-species grass swards to further reduce our use of fertilisers;  large areas of farm in permanent pasture; planting 1 hectare with wild flowers and corn to support birds and insects; planting a wildflower meadow; bird and bat boxes sited around the farm.

Established hedgerows form most of perimeters around our farm and between our fields.

We are members of Origin Green and the Bord Bia Sustainable Lamb Production Scheme and are participants in the GLAS (Green Low Carbon Agri-Environment) Scheme.
